SEO Tips for better ranking on Google

SEO Tips for better ranking on Google – Part One

The ranking of a website on search engines like Google depends on many factors. How many there are? No one knows exactly how many, as Google has never officially announced them. We know that there are over 200, and of course, some have great value, while others not so much.
We will try to explain some of the main factors in the first article of our blog, and if there is demand, we will cover more in the future.

Title : Website title

The title of the website or subpage should include the word or phrase you want to promote on Google. If you have a business that builds websites and want to promote the word “website,” the title should include the word “website.” Your title should be short, between 10 and 70 characters.

Description: Page description

The description of your website should include the keyword(s), in our example, it should include the word “website.” The description is how your website is presented on Google, so it should be a nice phrase, not just keywords!

Keywords: Keywords

In the past, meta keywords had a lot of value, and placing them improved a website’s ranking significantly. This led to keyword spam, causing search results to often be irrelevant to the search topic. Google decided to no longer read the keywords, although some search engines still consider them, but not with much value anymore.

Keywords should be included in the title, description, and your content.

Images: Images

No search engine can read what is contained in an image. If you have an image with text on it, obviously no search engine can read the text. This is why ALT TEXT was created, which is a way to describe what your images contain.

Text/HTML Ratio = Text to code ratio

The amount of programming code should be as minimal as possible; unnecessary elements have no reason to be there. We often see websites with excessive lines of code that are not needed anywhere. This volume increases the size of your website and reduces the text-to-code ratio, which is an SEO factor.

Domain 1st Registered: Domain age

The age of a website is a factor, as is the time since the domain name was purchased. It’s different to have a website bought for 1 year than for 10. Obviously, the one with 10 years signals to search engines that it is here to stay, that it is a serious business, etc.
